IGNITE FITNESS HOLDINGS – DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS PRIVACY POLICY (EMAIL & SMS)​

 

1. Collection of Digital Contact Information

We collect email addresses and mobile phone numbers through various member and guest touchpoints. This includes club membership agreements, online enrollment portals, digital guest logs, localized landing pages, and marketing campaign or sweepstakes entry forms.

 

2. Permitted Uses of Digital Communications

By providing your contact information, you agree that Ignite Fitness Holdings (“we,” “us,” or “our”) may contact you via email or text message for the following purposes:

  • Transactional & Operational: Account management, digital key tag delivery, billing updates, declines or collection notifications, updates regarding insurance-reimbursed member details, and critical club operational notices (e.g., holiday hours, emergency closures).

  • Marketing & Promotional: Delivering newsletters, local club promotions, membership upgrade offers, fitness challenges, and sweepstakes or contest communications.

 

3. Compliance Framework & Consumer Choice

We operate all digital messaging in strict compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, and the Controlling Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for our Canadian operations.

  • Email Opt-Out (CAN-SPAM & CASL): Every commercial email sent by Ignite Fitness Holdings will include a clear, conspicuous "Unsubscribe" link in the footer. Unsubscribe requests are processed automatically and honored globally across our databases within 10 business days (or immediately via our CRM platform). Opting out of marketing emails will not terminate critical transactional or billing emails related to an active membership.

  • SMS Opt-Out: You can cancel text services at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.

  • Implied vs. Express Consent (CASL Compliance): For individuals interacting with our Canadian clubs, we track explicit opt-in consent for marketing communications. Where implied consent is utilized (such as an expired guest pass or a past membership), we strictly adhere to prescribed statutory expiration timelines unless express consent is obtained.

 

4. Data Security and Third-Party Sharing Restrictions

Ignite Fitness Holdings values your digital privacy. We maintain strict boundaries regarding how your contact information is utilized:

  • No Sale or Rental of Data: We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your email address, mobile phone number, or digital consent records to third parties, outside affiliates, or partners for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes.

  • Authorized Service Providers: Your digital contact data is shared only with secure database processors, messaging vendors, and automated platforms (such as our corporate CRM and SMS distribution partners) acting strictly on behalf of Ignite Fitness Holdings. These partners are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than executing our authorized communications.

IGNITE FITNESS HOLDINGS – SMS TERMS OF SERVICE

 

Please read these SMS Terms of Service carefully. By opting in to receive text messages from Ignite Fitness Holdings (an independent franchisee of Planet Fitness), you agree to be bound by these terms, as well as our primary Privacy Policy.

 

1. Program Description

Ignite Fitness Holdings (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an SMS program to communicate with members, guests, and campaign participants. Messages may include:

  • Operational & Transactional Updates: Account alerts, billing notifications, updates regarding insurance-reimbursed member details, and critical club operational notices.

  • Marketing & Promotional Communications: Special club offers, localized promotions, fitness challenges, and sweepstakes or contest entry confirmations.

 

2. Express Consent & Frequency

By providing your mobile number and opting in through our web forms, landing pages, or mobile applications, you provide prior express written consent to receive automated and recurring text messages sent via an automated telephone dialing system (ATDS) or other automated technology.

  • Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase, membership, or accessing any Ignite Fitness Holdings facilities.

  • Message frequency varies based on user interaction, membership status, and active marketing campaigns.

 

3. Cost, Carriers, and Delivery

  • Ignite Fitness Holdings does not charge a fee for our text messaging program. However, standard message and data rates may apply from your wireless provider depending on your mobile plan.

  • We do not guarantee delivery. T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and other mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

 

4. How to Opt-Out (Unsubscribe)

You can cancel the SMS service at any time.

  • To stop receiving text messages from Ignite Fitness Holdings, reply STOP to any text message we send you.

  • After texting STOP, you will receive one final text message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.

  • Please note that opting out of promotional marketing text streams may not automatically unsubscribe you from critical transactional or billing alerts if you maintain an active membership agreement.

6. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these SMS Terms will be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution and binding arbitration provisions outlined in your primary Planet Fitness Membership Agreement or Ignite Fitness Holdings corporate terms.
